Skipper, you have 2 pieces of MyMaths homework to complete. These are based on frequency tables and understanding median and range and will help with the work for Mondays lesson.
You also have two pieces of I Am Learning work to complete based on the work we have been doing on genetic inheritance and variation. Please ensure that you complete these as they will go in your grade book and form part of your final grade for the respective learning targets.
You have four MyMaths tasks to complete for this Thursday 19th of March. Login into MyMaths for more details. Don’t forget to complete the revision lesson before attempting the questions.
Please mark as done on Google Classroom when you have completed the work.
Good Luck
You will be sitting the test in your Music X-Block in the first week back.
You have been set a number of I AM LEARNING and MyMaths exercises.
There are also lots of links and advice in the announcements further down this stream.
All students now have revision exercises set to help them to revise the STEM end of expedition exam. All students should aim to complete the exercises by Sunday 4th January.
The test will be on the following learning targets: (more…)
PLEASE SEE GOOGLE CLASSROOM FOR FULL DETAILS.
You have two sets of homework to complete over the next week.
1. First you have some tasks set on I Am Learning. Please log in and complete the tasks which will be available when you click on ‘Homework’. These tasks are based on some of the misconceptions some of us have had when writing our site reports, so please work hard and take as many tries as you need to get at least 85%. This will help you when we come to critique and redraft our reports. The second piece of I Am Learning is based on the Hydrological Cycle. Again, please make sure you keep trying and aim to get AT LEAST 85%.
2. MyMaths: You have some tasks to complete on MyMaths based on some of the work we have been doing in class. Please complete this by the deadline set which is Friday 28th at 16.30.
If you need any help or are having trouble, please make an effort to see me before the deadline so that you still have time to complete your work.
Thanks
Mr Voltaire
Skipper students will be sitting a test this Friday. The test will be on the following learning targets:
- I can describe the large scale structure of the Earth.
- I can explain how rocks change over time
- I can round numbers to make estimates
- I can calculate the perimeter of compound shapes
- I can calculate the area of compound shapes
Students will be given their books to take home later in the week to revise. In the meantime they can revise by doing one of the following:
- Log into “I am learning” from the Apps link at the top of the page once they logged into the school website. From the home screen, students should click on the computer screen to access the exercises. They can then search for “I can” in the top right search bar. There are two exercises they can try there.
- Log into “MyMaths” and search for the following exercises: area of a triangle, area of rectangles, estimates with decimals, rounding decimals.
This test will be one way in which we work out grades for the above learning targets. It will also help to inform the personalised tasks that students will be given to work on during the October break.
