Students explored the community around the stadium, making a photo journal and noticing negative and positive aspects of the community. Once back at school students used the photos and what they had noticed to produce a photo essay of what they saw whilst exploring.

Students building on their background knowledge and text coding in lessons. During this lesson students read and understood an article relating to changes in the Doncaster community and then shared with the class what they had found.
Students spent time doing a Gallery walk of community gardens – they chose a photograph they liked and discussed what they knew, noticed and wondered about it.
